Why this exists

We kept running into the same problem: we wanted to volunteer in Door County, but it was hard to figure out who needed help and how to start. Forms and emails went unanswered. Websites listed openings that were years out of date. Often the only way in was knowing someone who already volunteered there.

Meanwhile, nearly every organization we talked to said they were short on volunteers — especially younger ones.

How it works

1. Local nonprofits tell us what they need help with.
2. We confirm the details and post verified, current opportunities here.
3. You find something that fits and send us your name and email.
4. Sam personally emails you within about two business days and introduces you to the right person at the organization.

That's it. No account, no long application, no volunteer database. When an opportunity is filled or expires, it comes off the list.

The Hub is run by two volunteers.
